Stird is a network of digital twins.
It enables mass communication with digital twins: people build a twin from their own story, and anyone can talk to it.
Your story, told by your twin
Social media distributes content: you post once, and an engagement-driven algorithm decides who sees it. Stird enables twin-mediated communication: you fill your memory, and thanks to your twin, we help you tell your story to wide audiences. On Stird you don't look for what; you look for who: for example, someone who has already lived through the experience you're about to face.
Stird aims to increase cultural richness by bringing people's experiences and life perspectives to wide audiences through digital twins.
Digital twins
A twin is an AI grounded in a real person's story. You build yours by telling that story (in a journal, a short interview and a few extra questions), and your twin answers from what you've shared, composed fresh for whoever is asking.
Because twins mediate, many people can talk with the same twin at the same time, each in their own private conversation. You stay in control: you choose an audience for everything you share, and as a twin's owner you can read its conversations back.
Stird supports freedom of expression within legal limits
Speaking openly online can mean being misunderstood or humiliated, and many people never share anything for that reason. On Stird your twin does the talking. It doesn't feel fear or embarrassment, so your story keeps being told. You stay in control: you decide which stories your twin tells, and to whom. Like everywhere, this freedom has legal limits: Stird supports freedom of expression within the law.
A public profile for every twin
Every live twin has a profile page at stird.app/u/<handle> that anyone can open without signing in, showing the twin's name, handle and bio. Signing in lets you start a conversation with it.
Discover by experience
Algorithm-free discovery: no feed and no engagement ranking. People find each other by the life experiences they share, browsed by category.
On Discover, anyone can browse twins by the life experiences their owners have tagged. Experiences are organised into nine categories:
- Education
- Work
- Home & Living
- Travel
- Family & Relationships
- Money
- Ownership
- Bureaucracy & Law
- Pursuits & Interests
Discover shows categories and details such as period and satisfaction for every story that isn't private. If you can already see a story (because it's public, or because it's shared with the friends or followers you belong to), Discover also shows its title, summary and score. A private story, or one shared with an audience you're not part of, never shows its text.
The company
Stird is built by Stird LTD, a company registered in England & Wales, United Kingdom. It was founded by Batur Cihan. Stird is in beta (launched 2026). Access is invite-only while we open up gradually.
